Charity Action Network (CAN) is a Gambian-based Non-profit and Non-Governmental Organization

CAN was established by a group of Gambians, living in Gambia and abroad, who know from first hand the conditions against which many Africans struggle on a daily basis. It was born out of a desire to serve the most vulnerable and less privileged women and children across Africa and to enable them to change their lives for the better.

The practical work of CAN began on June 28, 2016, through the provision of a charity meal to over 500 less privileged men, women and children in Gambia. This action was organized and paid for by CAN's founding members, who continue to use their own resources to this end. It has become an annual tradition.

Seeing the need for the efficient delivery of community welfare and charity services and wishing to  fulfill it, CAN was registered officially as a charity in The Gambia on August 20, 2020.

“From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank Charity Action Network and every donor who made it possible by reducing the burden of our boarding students' nutritional welfare supplies, in times when we least expected.”
